WEEK5
In this week of our elective I and my group members were asked to read an article from the jigsaw website and reflect on it and our choice of topic was to talk about sleep deprivation as it’s a very important part of a persons mental and physical health .My reflection is that It’s no secret that sleep plays a vital and crucial role in good physical and mental health. Sleep deprivation can cause the human being feeling anxious and fatigued in the short-term, but it can also have serious long-term health consequences as well which can lead to many serious medical conditions that can effect us. And there are many factors that can cause that. Inappropriate hours of sleeping is one of the most crucial factors of causing a variety of unfavourable health consequences . Their are other factors that include drinking coffee and energy drinks which are known to cause sleep deprivation . However, luckily there are numerous methods and regimes that can have a positive effect on sleep which include but are not limited to a healthy diet, limiting the usage of modern technology like smartphones and computer devices, creating an environment that helps in sleeping and exercising in a daily basis in which they can all promote a better lifestyle and a good mental health in the long run .
